  12. As of April 1, the price of NEXTSTEP Developer Release 3.2 will
  13.  
  14. increase to $2995, and the price of the upgrade to NEXTSTEP
  15.  
  16. Developer Release 3.2 will increase to $749. These price increases
  17.  
  18. reflect the true value of NeXT's software development environment,
  19.  
  20. and places NEXTSTEP Developer's price in line with other
  21.  
  22. client/server development environments available for other
  23.  
  24. operating systems, such as Windows and UNIX.
  25.  
  26. NeXT's original price of $1995 was purposely set at the low-end of
  27.  
  28. the pricing scale for development tools to introduce the new
  29.  
  30. NEXTSTEP Developer product to the market.  Now that NEXTSTEP has
  31.  
  32. been shipping for almost a year and received positive reviews as
  33.  
  34. being an outstanding product in the software development market,
  35.  
  36. as well as the leader in object-oriented technology, NeXT is
  37.  
  38. appropriately setting NEXTSTEP Developer's price point to match
  39.  
  40. it's value.

  42. NeXT is currently running a special promotion through the
  43.  
  44. TeleSales Department that includes both NEXTSTEP User and NEXTSTEP

  46. Developer Release 3.2 for only $995.  This promotion, originally

  48. scheduled to end March 31st, has been extended through the end of

  50. June.
